Meet Your Teachers!

MRS. APRIL

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University, Generalist EC-8, GT, ESL, CPR and First Aid certified

Hiddy! My name is Mrs. April and I just can't tell you how excited we are for another Stinky year! After 12 years in the classroom, we began homeschooling and it has been an adventure ever since! Everything from forest learning to cuddling animals and making lasting memories, each and every Wednesday is a great day to Bee Stinky! Our first group of kiddos arrived at Stinky Bee Outdoor School in 2021 and a whole new world of educational opportunities flourished. I absolutely adore teaching children and know it is going to be another fun and exciting year!! My passion areas include animal husbandry, scout skills, campfire cooking, and science. I really enjoy getting to know our learners individually and watching them flourish in tasks that maybe previously they would shy away from. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons....mainly because it means less ants and flying insects :) and an excuse to wear giant comfy sweats!!!

MRS JORDAN

Sub-Permit wildlife rehabber, Classical Conversations Tutor, CPR and First Aid certified, Process Art extraordinaire

Hi Friends! My name is Ms. Jordan and I am thrilled to be starting my third year here at Stinky Bee! Two of my three children attend with me, and my youngest can't wait to be old enough. This will be my fourth year to homeschool, and my fourth year as a tutor for our local Classical Conversations community. I am CPR-certified, and I also have four years of experience teaching Preschool, with my favorite role being Art Teacher. Watching children explore their creativity brings me so much joy. The messier the better. My other passion is for critters of all shapes and sizes. Before I became a mom I worked as a vet tech, and now I volunteer as a sub-permitted wildlife rehabber. My goal is to nurture a safe and respectful curiosity for all living things - including the not so cuddly ones. I cannot wait to dive into another year of adventure here on the farm! I am particularly fond of things that Mrs. April tends to avoid...snakes, insects, and crawling things and I love teaching children the fun and interesting facts of these creatures using our nature journals!

MRS VICKI

Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Texas at Dallas, EC-6th grade, GT, ESL, CPR, First Aid certified

HI! My name is Vicki Stack. I had spent two years in the nursing program before feeling I was being led to work with children instead of needles :) . I have taught 1st grade for 5 years, art for 1 year, and early childhood for 3 years. I have 3 daughters and love spending time with them playing softball, swimming, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. I love to get lost in an exciting novel or keep my hands busy with a crochet project. It will be so wonderful to integrate this fine motor skill where I can into our outdoor school exprience. This will be my first year teaching outdoor school and I am filled with anticipation to learn along with our Little Stinkers all about the forest, farm, and more! I can’t wait to embark on an adventurous year at Stinky Bee Farm!
